king of the road 2009

October 10, 2009 by Aleah Leave a Comment

The adidas King of the Road 2009 is nearing, and I am quite excited! I have been training for the 21k distance of the QC International Marathon on October 18 so I expect to do better on the 25th. Normally, I would not have scheduled a back-to-back half marathon race, but I made an exception for adidas because of their new singlet.

For the past 3 years, adidas has given out the same singlet design. I already have a red, a white, and a blue, so I was quite glad when I saw the black/yellow one.

To be held on October 25 in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, registration for the KOTR is ongoing until October 18. I went to the adidas store in Greenbelt 3, but others can also fill out the form at 13 other sites. There are three distances being offered–5k, 10k, and 21k–and for the fee of P500, it is definitely worth it, especially since adidas is giving its proceeds to HOPE Foundation, a child-caring organization.

Make sure to attend their Running Expo in SM Megamall on October 17 as well. There will be carbo loading (perfect for the QCIM!), distribution of race kits, and fitness clinics, among other things.

Kudos to adidas for consistently giving value for our money!
